Why Fiji Works So Well
The Mamanuca Islands were a hot spot for reality television long before the villa was built. Survivor has used the region for years, and it is the same area where the movie Cast Away was filmed. Because of that, the local film industry is already used to handling the heavy logistics of long-term television shoots.

Different areas of the villa are used for different parts of the show, from recouplings and dates to casual conversations and private moments. The fire pit serves as the setting for many of the show’s most important moments, including recouplings, eliminations, and major announcements.
The shared bedroom encourages constant interaction among contestants. The pool area serves as a central gathering space and is frequently featured throughout the series. While the villa resembles a luxury vacation resort, it is carefully designed to support continuous filming and contestant interaction.
The Real Secret Is Behind The Walls
The most interesting part of the location is the infrastructure hidden from viewers. The villa uses concealed cameras and filming positions that allow production crews to capture much of the action without appearing on screen.
Beyond the villa is a large production compound that houses equipment, crew operations, and materials used for challenges and special events. Casa Amor is located nearby, which makes it easier to separate contestants while maintaining the show’s format.
During filming, host Ariana Madix stays in separate accommodations away from the villa and travels to the set for hosting duties.
