The wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on May 19, 2018, was anything but a typical wedding in all instances but one: It marked the joining of a couple and their extended relations — creating a new and expanded family.
From that day leading up to the Oprah interview on March 7, 2021, this couple has had its fair share of drama. They had a baby, stepped down as senior royals, suffered a miscarriage and are now expecting baby No. 2. Plus, they shared with Oprah some of the struggles they had in the palace — from Meghan’s depression to issues surrounding race and a lack of acceptance in the public eye.
