Nick Cannon, an American TV host, comedian, actor and rapper, rose to fame as a teenager when he starred in the Nickelodeon series “All That.” He has since served as the executive producer and host of “The Masked Singer” on Fox, and he currently hosts a radio show and a sketch comedy show called “Wild’N Out.”
But what he’s really become known for is his plethora of offspring. Cannon has 12 children with birthdates ranging from 2011 to 2022, from not one, not two, but six different women.
How Much Do People Really Know About Nick Cannon’s Kids?
Cannon has become so infamous for his, ahem, prolific fertility, that actor and friend Kevin Hart played an epic prank on him: He bought a massive billboard ad reading, “For any advice on fatherhood? Call my best friend Nick Cannon.”
The sign included his actual phone number, which was ringing off the hooks for weeks. But Cannon retaliated by gifting Hart a live llama for his birthday.
Yes, he really did that. As amusing as a llama is, raising 12 kids is no joke. Cannon can laugh at himself when he’s the butt of vasectomy jokes, but he reportedly tries to be a caring provider for every one of his kids. He takes great pride in their achievements and tries to be a loving father, albeit in a nontraditional way.
Let’s take a look at the growing family that this celeb continues to surprise fans with.
Kids With Mariah Carey: 2
Between 2008 to 2016, Cannon was married to powerhouse vocalist Mariah Carey. They share twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, born on April 30, 2011. The two famous parents try their best to remain a united front when it comes to parenting. They don’t always see eye to eye, but they try to be selfless and put the needs of their twins over their own egos. Monroe has also started modeling for the brand OshKosh B’Gosh, and both parents are proud to see her following in their footsteps.
Carey wasn’t thrilled when Cannon gave them cellphones she didn’t approve of, but they seem to get on relatively well. He feels guilty at times because he can’t be physically present with so many kids in so many places, but when he does see them, he goes all out, complete with dressing up as the Easter Bunny to surprise them.
Kids With Brittany Bell: 3
In 2017, Cannon welcomed a son into the world with Brittany Bell. The couple named him Golden Sagon, and both parents participate amicably at every birthday party and major milestone event. They threw Golden an epic, gamer-themed sixth birthday bash at a Los Angeles, California, arcade, with the entire family wearing matching T-shirts.
In 2020, Bell gave birth to her second child with Cannon, and they named her Powerful Queen. She was born at home via natural water birth, which Cannon was present for. Two years later, the pair announced they were having a third baby, born in September 2022. Rise Messiah Cannon’s name was inspired by both Cannon and Bell’s religious beliefs, with some of Rise’s newborn photos including an open bible. Cannon has openly thanked God for the gift of his numerous children and appreciates Bell for supporting his journey as a father.
Kids With Abby De La Rosa: 3
Model and DJ Abby De La Rosa is Cannon’s third, but not final, baby mama. On June 21, 2021, their twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir Cannon were born. Cannon and De La Rosa dressed up as Ghostbusters characters, with the twins dressed as the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Men for their first Halloween. Their first birthday was celebrated at none other than Disneyland. At the party, Cannon called De La Rosa “Super Woman,” making a point of showing the twins how much he respected and honored their mother.
Less than two years later in November 2022, the pair welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Zeppelin Cannon. Despite the fact that Cannon is spread thin with so many children to spend time with, he always takes time to thank the mothers of his children for their dedication and devotion to them.
Kids With Bre Tiesi: 1
In July 2022, model Bre Tiesi gave birth to Legendary Love Cannon, a baby boy born via natural home birth. Reportedly, Cannon was a supportive partner throughout the delivery and was overjoyed to share first moments with his new son.
He celebrated Legendary’s first Halloween with him, posting a photo of him in a cute Mickey Mouse costume.
Kids With LaNisha Cole: 1
Cannon’s ninth child was born in September 2022 to LaNisha Cole. They named their little girl Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, and Cannon wrote on Instagram, “Once again, today I am in awe of the Devine Feminine! God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on Earth. I vow to protect, provide, guide and love this child to the best of my abilities.”
Onyx was Cole’s first baby, and Cannon seemed to make an effort to connect with his ninth newborn. We’re not sure how well he managed because he accidentally left her name out when he was asked to name all of his kids during an interview in 2023.
Kids With Alyssa Scott: 2
In a span of just six months starting at the end of 2020, Nick Cannon welcomed four new children. His first son with model Alyssa Scott was born on June 23, 2021, named Zen. Tragically, Zen was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer shortly after birth. He died of it when he was only 5 months old, and both Cannon and Scott were heartbroken. To honor him, Scott and Cannon made a foundation called Zen’s Light, which aims to improve pediatric healthcare and grief care for parents in need.
In December 2022, Scott came forward to announce the birth of her second child with Cannon, just a year after Zen’s passing. Named Halo Marie Cannon, the pair were overjoyed to celebrate their healthy baby girl together.
Is a Dozen Kids Enough for Nick Cannon?
Cannon jokes about his massive, unconventional family, but it sounds like he’s far from finished. According to an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cannon feels that God decides when people are done having kids but that his focus is on his career and raising his already large family for the time being.
Will he have more later? It’s not off the table, and we’ll wager that this story will be updated in the future with another Cannon baby announcement. (Or five.) Stay tuned.
